Directions for Youth & Families provides community-based mental health and prevention services through a resiliency-oriented, trauma-informed framework.
Our programs focus on Treatment, Prevention, and Education, offering specialized counseling, kindergarten readiness, after-school, and summer programs that meet the diverse needs of youth and families.

Position Summary
The Licensed Social Worker / Licensed Professional Counselor provides clinical assessment, mental health counseling, case management, and care coordination to youth ages 5–17 in schools, homes, and community settings.
This role is key in assessing, diagnosing, developing therapeutic goals, and implementing evidence-based interventions that reflect our trauma-informed approach.
Responsibilities
Conduct individual counseling sessions to support mental and emotional wellbeing.
Collaborate with parents, school staff, and community partners to support treatment goals.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Participate in supervision, training, and professional development.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling (or Bachelor’s in Social Work with LSW).
Licensure: Current Ohio LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC.
Preferred Experience: Working with youth in school-based or community settings.
Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
