We're proud to be supporting a well-established regional accountancy firm in Suffolk to recruit an experienced Tax Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional looking to lead, advise, and develop both clients and colleagues within a forward-thinking and supportive environment.

In this role, you'll take the lead on client tax planning and compliance, provide strategic advice to owner-managed businesses, and support a portfolio of clients across income, corporation, capital gains, and inheritance tax matters. You'll also play a key part in mentoring junior staff, ensuring quality, and shaping the firm's future tax services offering.

What You'll Be Doing:

Managing a portfolio of clients, providing expert advice across a range of tax areas

Planning and reviewing tax consultancy and compliance assignments

Presenting solutions to complex technical tax issues and providing strategic recommendations

Building trusted relationships with clients and supporting new business development

Managing WIP, billing, and recoverability to achieve financial targets

Supporting and developing junior team members within the tax department

Ensuring full compliance with internal procedures and risk management

What We're Looking For:

CTA qualified or equivalent experience within a tax environment

Practical experience in OMB tax issues, including income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax

Strong commercial awareness and a problem-solving mindset

Excellent communication and client relationship skills

A collaborative approach, with the confidence to take initiative and lead from the front
