Job Title: Project Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer with a strong background in building construction, contractor management, permitting processes, equipment maintenance, and schematic interpretation. The ideal candidate will oversee project execution from planning through completion, ensuring compliance, quality, and efficiency across all phases. This role will be based across multiple locations and will could require some travel.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
Select, negotiate, and oversee contractors and subcontractors.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Manage permitting processes with local and state authorities.
Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
Oversee procurement, installation, and upkeep of construction equipment.
Implement preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Interpret and review engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
Serve as a liaison between internal teams, contractors, and clients.
Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in construction or engineering project management.
Strong knowledge of building systems, permitting, and contractor oversight.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Procore).
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Skills:
Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification.
Experience with sustainable building practices or LEED certification.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
