Superintendent - Mechanical/Electrical

Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations for large commercial construction projects in the Columbus area. This role oversees all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) scopes — ensuring safety, schedule, and quality standards are consistently met.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating subcontractors, leading field teams, and managing day-to-day activities related to the installation, commissioning, and turnover of mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate MEP subcontractors and field crews

Oversee jobsite safety, schedule, and quality control

Manage project logistics, manpower, and progress tracking

Review drawings and specifications for compliance and constructability

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and owners to resolve field issues

Support commissioning, inspections, and project closeout activities

Mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Interns

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in mechanical/electrical or MEP construction supervision

Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and safety protocols

Proven ability to manage field operations and subcontractor performance

Experience with commercial or industrial construction required

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Familiarity with BIM, Revit, or Navisworks is a plusCompany Description
