Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Glazier and Door Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial glass systems, aluminum storefronts, curtain walls, and commercial door systems, including automatic, manual, and security doors.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, install, and secure various types of commercial glass and glazing systems (storefronts, curtain walls, glass walls, etc.).
Install and adjust commercial doors including aluminum, steel, glass, and automatic doors.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete installations.
Ensure materials are installed according to industry standards and customer specifications.
Perform sealing, caulking, and waterproofing as needed.
Inspect finished work for quality and safety compliance.
Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and team members.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial glazing or door installation.
Ability to read blueprints, tape measures, and technical drawings.
Proficient with tools and equipment used in glass and door installation.
Knowledge of door hardware, closers, panic devices, and access control is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs) and work at heights or on ladders/scaffolding.
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and jobsite environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA 10/30 certification.
Experience working with curtain wall systems and high-rise installations.
Work Environment:
Construction sites, both indoor and outdoor.
May require travel to various job locations.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
