POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing & Communication Director is responsible for transforming global marketing & communication guideline to local Marcom strategy with measurable actions to build up the brand image, awareness, support corporate commitment initiatives to reinforce brand equity in the long term.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Marketing, Merchandising and Business Strategy Development
- Define local Marketing strategy in line with international guidelines ensuring the specific adaptation to local context and challenges
- Leverage business knowledge to make informed decisions on budget and sales efficiency
- Identify and prioritize creations that drive customers and network growth opportunities
- Support the merchandizing transition project with clear mission to optimize the local merchandizing to stock dynamic, stock cost monitor, stock optimizing to maximize sales outcome from passive operational roles to active orchestration roles.
- Accountable for local product strategy and business results per product line and network
- Define launch packs and specific local actions to maximize sales turnover
2. Developing and managing Communication & PR Strategy
- Direct and oversee Communications & PR strategies across all media to ensure objectives are adhered to and all tactical plans are implemented
- Maintain strong relationships with key press and identify opportunities for high visibility brand and creations stories in partnership with HQ
- Anticipate the rapid evolution of media platforms to create connection with clients in 360 degree dimension via different channels digital & physical.
- Implement the Maison image and guidelines through media plan definition and press/PR and Events
- Support and amplify Cartier corporate commitments locally
- Crisis management - develop and implement PR contingency strategies/plans as appropriate. Draft statements for all potential issues
3. Event planning and management
- Propose yearly event planning which aligns with global direction and local strategy
- Oversee and give guidance to all event planning and executions
- Coordinate with HQ for respective events to ensure alignment of brand image and approval of local concepts
4. Visual merchandising
- Lead the VM function and oversees the Implementation of worldwide boutiques animation in internal displays and external windows across both networks (retail and wholesale)
- Propose local adaptations of international animation to fit local trends
- Develop and propose new concepts to upgrade visual impact for events and client activities
- Guide global direction for local adaptation regarding event, exhibition design & creation with agency and internal VM teams.
5. Metrics and measurement
- Develop and execute qualitative and quantitative market research levering local and Central resources in collaboration with Client Department
- Assess and report competitive and cultural trends
- Track trends, analyzing market research, making recommendations and developing comprehensive strategic briefs based on data
- Produces regular reports for management decisions, providing specific recommendations and regular updates on competitor benchmarking
6. People and Organization Leadership
- Constantly share the vision, strategy and values of the Maison to engage and motivate the team
- Define annual objectives for team members and manage team performance
- Work closely with the L&D team to define and anticipate the development needs of the team
7. Budget Management
- Forecast budget according to annual business target and strategy
- Manage budget and ensuring activities are kept within budget of the fiscal year
