Assembly

Millwood is accepting applications for the assembly position. The job responsibilities include assisting with hands-on physical labor and the operation of machinery with the goal of streamlining company production and the upkeep of customer satisfaction.

Reports to: Plant Manager and floor supervisors

Position summary:

The Pallet Assembly role is critical to ensuring the efficient and safe packaging and transportation of goods within the Apple Creek facility. This position focuses on constructing sturdy pallets that meet company and industry standards, supporting the logistics and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a smooth workflow by assembling pallets accurately and promptly, which directly impacts shipment schedules and customer satisfaction. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent damage to products and ensure workplace safety. Ultimately, this role supports the overall operational efficiency and reliability of the distribution process at Apple Creek.

Duties include:

Must observe all safety guidelines and protocol.

Assemble wooden pallets according to specified dimensions and quality standards.

Inspect raw materials and finished pallets for defects or damage to ensure quality control.

Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to construct pallets.

Collaborate with warehouse and shipping teams to coordinate pallet availability and delivery schedules.

Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with safety and operational guidelines.

Complete and turn in all required documentation in a timely manner.

Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures with applicable federal, State and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements.

Clean and maintain all responsible work areas in an organized manner.

All other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret imperial system.

Successful completion of pneumatic nailer training.

High school diploma or GED Equivalent

Related experience is preferred.

Good oral and written communication skills

Basic math skills

Requirements:

Ability to pass a drug test

You must be 18 years of age

Physically able to lift 50lbs as needed

Physically ability to stand, bend/stoop, kneel, lift, reach and other physical tasks during an 8-10-hour shift.

Must maintain safe and tidy workspace

Ability to understand and complete job tasks accurately
