STRS Ohio is seeking an Administrative Assistant 1 or 2, Benefits Administration Management to join the Member Benefits Administration Management team.

Compensation:

Grade 5N: $22.69/ hr. or Commensurate with education and experience

Grade 6N: $24.95/ hr. or Commensurate with education and experience

Work Schedule:

8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday (Onsite)

General Summary Grades 5N or 6N:

Under the primary direction of the director, Benefits Administration and director, Health Care Services, perform support duties for the Benefits Administration, including benefits administrative services, member benefits processing, recipient benefits processing, benefits administration technology team and health care services.

Summary of Responsibilities Grades 5N or 6N:

Provide broad administrative and analytical support for Member Benefits using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Serve as backup to the executive assistant and other Member Benefits business support associates as needed.

Support special projects such as research, education/training and implementation. Identify and present solutions to management.

Serve as administrator of the Member Benefits and Benefits Administration SharePoint sites. Serve as contact for ITS for updates and edits to the SharePoint sites. Maintain and organize documentation on the SharePoint sites to ensure associates have access to up-to-date information.

Maintain and analyze budget expenditures and assist with procurement and expenditures in Workday. (Grade 5N)

Maintain and analyze budget expenditures and serve as a subject matter expert for procurement and expenditures in Workday. (Grade 6N)

Summary of Qualifications Grades 5N or 6N:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Relevant college coursework in administrative support skills, business or related field preferred.

One to three years’ relevant office experience preferred. (Grade 5N)

Three to five years’ relevant office experience required. (Grade 6N)

Ability to work with and preserve confidential information required.

Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with internal and external contacts required.

Excellent organizational skills, high degree of accuracy and attention to detail required to handle multiple tasks.

Ability to work independently, in a team environment and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal direct supervision required.
