As a Driver Trainee, you'll embark on a journey to master key driver responsibilities, focusing on delivering products accurately and timely to our valued customers. You'll gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations as you transition to becoming a skilled McLane Driver.

Training Pay: $21.00 an hour.
Post-Training Pay: Earn between $65,000 to $80,000.

Key Responsibilities of a Driver Trainee:
Learn to connect tractor and trailer and secure them properly.
Operate the truck safely while adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
Perform pre/post trip inspections of the tractor-trailer and file necessary reports.
Utilize the Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH) to document deliveries, product conditions, and exceptions.
Train under an experienced Driver to learn the ins and outs of commercial driving.
Maintain accurate driver logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
Assist in unloading and delivering products to customers.
Other duties as needed.
Qualifications Needed:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Eligible for McLane Transfer and Promotion guidelines.
Complete training and obtain Class A CDL within 6 months.
Willingness to handle all products ordered by McLane customers.
Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Skills in reading labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
Basic math skills for verifying product quantities.
Effective communication with customers and team members.
Safe driving skills using various equipment and onboard devices.
Must be able to read, write, and understand English well enough to follow safety protocols and job instructions.
