Description:

Sometimes, the right support at the right time can change a life.

At Plus Dane Housing, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home. As a Homeless Officer at Anne Conway House, you’ll be a lifeline for people experiencing homelessness—helping them find stability, rebuild confidence, and take steps toward independent living.

Who we are:

Plus Dane provides homes and services to over 30,000 people across Merseyside and Cheshire. Our aim is to tackle social inequality by enabling individuals and communities to thrive and our customer team is at the heart of what we do.

Working with our customers really does change people’s lives and if you want to make a difference Plus Dane is the place to be!

We live by our values of working together, achieving for our customers, taking ownership, and having the opportunity to learn and grow.

What you’ll do:

Be a trusted presence on-site, supporting residents day-to-day.

Help people access benefits, manage their income, and find suitable move-on accommodation.

Keep the scheme safe, clean, and welcoming.

Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to support residents with complex needs.

Build relationships, encourage community engagement, and respond to challenges with empathy and professionalism.

What you’ll bring

Experience working with vulnerable people and a genuine desire to help.

Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust.

Confident in using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.

A calm, person-centred approach, with experience and a strong commitment to safeguarding.

Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive team.

Flexible and willing to adapt to meet the needs of the service.

Resilient and able to work well under pressure.

What you’ll get in return:

You’ll be based at our Anne Conway House scheme, working 37.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern that supports both flexibility and teamwork.

Your schedule will alternate weekly between early shifts (7:30am–3:30pm) and late shifts (2:30pm–10:30pm), across Tuesday to Saturday. You’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive team that works collaboratively to ensure residents receive consistent care and attention—whether during the day or evening. With Sundays and Mondays off, the pattern also offers regular downtime to recharge.

You’ll be generously rewarded with a competitive salary and a great benefits package, including 35 days’ holiday plus bank holidays with the option to buy up to 5 extra days annually. You’ll also benefit from a company pension scheme where we contribute 9%, and colleagues can contribute anything from 3% upwards.

We’re committed to our people’s wellbeing, recognised through our accreditation by the Wellbeing Charter and supported by an excellent management team, wellbeing champions, and mental health first aiders.

We actively encourage personal development, with plenty of opportunities to progress your career and access ongoing training, including formal qualifications.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
