Responsibilities and Duties:

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on hotel equipment, systems, facilities (e.g., HVAC, plumbing electrical, lighting, kitchen equipment, and laundry machines.)

Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests during overnight hours.

Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical, electrical and plumbing issues.

Conduct safety checks to ensure all emergency systems are operational. (Fire alarms, sprinklers, exit lighting)

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop and work area.

Assist with overnight projects such as painting, furniture repair, carpet cleaning and/or deep cleaning tasks.

Document all maintenance activity in logs and report any recurring issue to the Maintenance Manager or Director. \

Follow all safety guidelines, lockout/tagout procedures and OSHA regulations.

Support hotel security by reporting suspicious activity or safety hazards.

Ensure tools and equipment are stored properly and maintained.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills to interact with guests and staff professionally.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Technical training or certification in maintenance trades preferred.

Previous experience in hospitality, commercial or residential settings.

Basic knowledge of the following: HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general repair.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Extended periods of walking, bending, and standing.

Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in confined spaces or at elevated heights.

Work Schedule:

Full-time overnight shift (Typically 11pm-7am or similar hours)

Weekends and holidays may be required.
