Regional Nurse Scheduler

Job Description

We are seeking a Regional Nurse Scheduler to join our team and play a key role in supporting our Nurse Schedulers and recruiting efforts across our communities. This individual will focus on workforce optimization, talent pipeline development, and ensuring our facilities are fully staffed to provide the best care possible.Key Responsibilities:

Support Nurse Schedulers across all Journey communities by providing guidance, training, and troubleshooting to ensure schedules are efficient, accurate, and meet staffing needs.

Partner with Recruitment and Operations to identify staffing needs and develop proactive hiring strategies to attract qualified caregivers and nursing professionals.

Monitor workforce trends and provide data-driven insights to improve scheduling effectiveness, recruitment outcomes, and retention.

Assist with onboarding and workforce planning to ensure smooth integration of new team members into our care communities.

Collaborate with leadership to design and implement workforce development initiatives that enhance engagement, scheduling efficiency, and staff satisfaction.

Serve as a resource for our facilities, ensuring consistency in scheduling practices, compliance with labor standards, and alignment with Journey’s mission and values.Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in healthcare workforce management, scheduling, or recruitment — preferably in long-term care or senior living.

Strong understanding of workforce planning, scheduling systems (UKG experience a plus), and recruiting best practices.

Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze staffing trends and identify solutions.
