PGS Worldwide is actively seeking an Electrical/Electronic Technician to support fabrication and testing of micro and nano electronic products in Minneapolis, MN. This 1-year contract-to-hire position will play a vital role in the assembly, inspection, and troubleshooting of advanced electronics used in cutting-edge aerospace and defense applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on skills with electronic test equipment, experience performing precision assembly and rework, and a commitment to delivering near-zero defect work in a team environment.
Required Qualifications:
2-year technical degree or a minimum of 2 years as an electronic or electrical technician in a production or prototype environment
Proficiency with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) and electrical assembly tools
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
Excellent fine motor skills and attention to precision for micro/nano-scale fabrication and assembly
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of J-STD-001 workmanship standards
Ability to conduct functional and performance tests and record test data accurately
Team-oriented with good communication and documentation skills
Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Cirris or Automated Test Equipment (ATE) operation
Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical or electronic systems
Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3, IPC-A-610 Class 3, and J-STD-001 quality standards
Ability to communicate feedback to engineering teams for design and test improvements
Prior aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics experience
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, inspect, and test micro and nano electronic components and systems
Perform troubleshooting, rework, and repair of production or prototype electronic assemblies
Operate precision tools and electronic test instruments to perform measurements and diagnostics
Support process and design improvements by providing technical feedback to the engineering team
Document assembly results, test data, and quality findings
Maintain adherence to manufacturing and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
