We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka, looking for an Assistant Manager – Human Resources for a leading FMCG company based in Kaduwela. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle for Executive level and above, supporting the Performance Management System (PMS), driving employee engagement initiatives, and ensuring smooth HR operations through data-driven reporting and effective employee relations management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Employee Lifecycle Management

Oversee the complete onboarding to offboarding process for Executive-level and above employees.

Manage induction programs, documentation, background verification, and orientation sessions.

Ensure timely completion of exit formalities, clearance, and feedback processes.

2. Performance Management System (PMS)

Support and coordinate the PMS cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals.

Provide guidance to managers and employees on PMS tools, timelines, and performance feedback.

Assist in performance analytics and preparing PMS-related reports for management.

3. Employee Engagement & Culture Building

Design, implement, and track employee engagement activities to foster a positive work culture.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance communication and morale.

Gather and analyze employee feedback to recommend engagement improvements.

4. Employee Relations & Disciplinary Matters

Attend and document disciplinary inquiries and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Provide support in grievance handling and conflict resolution.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all employee relations matters.

5. HR Reporting & Compliance

Prepare and submit monthly HR reports including headcount, attrition, and key HR metrics.

Maintain accurate HR data and employee records.

Support audits and compliance with HR policies and legal requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

4–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably handling mid to senior-level staff.

Strong knowledge of HR processes, employee engagement, and performance management systems.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
