Finance Executive - Accounts Payable

We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka, looking for a Finance Executive - Accounts Payable for a leading FMCG company based in Minuwangoda/Katunayake.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full accounts payable process — from invoice verification and coding to payment processing and reconciliation.

Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments in compliance with company policies and internal controls.

Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Assist in month-end closing activities and provide accurate accruals for expenses.

Liaise with internal departments (Procurement, Operations, etc.) to ensure smooth invoice processing and approval workflows.

Maintain and update AP ledgers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Support audits (internal/external) with required documentation and analysis.

Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and control.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).

Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, problem-solving approach.

Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
