The Global Procurement & Third Party Management department plays an important role in enabling our organization to operate efficiently and responsibly. We work closely with internal stakeholders across all departments to understand their needs and translate these needs into sourcing strategies. From negotiating contracts and managing supplier performance to conducting due diligence and ensuring regulatory compliance, our department is at the heart of operational excellence. Position & Requirements
As a Sr. Operational Procurement Officer, you’ll be responsible for managing and optimizing day-to-day procurement processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. You’ll work closely with Third Party managers on certain categories of products and/or services. Also, you are the linking pin with our IT colleagues, coordinating system improvements and will act as a backup for the team manager. Your responsibilities include:
Maintain a correct and complete contract- and vendor administration.
Process predefined purchase requisitions in line with existing Master Agreements.
Prepare complex Purchase Orders (POs) to support the Third Party Management team.
Validate incoming invoices and resolve any discrepancies or exceptions.
Support monthly financial reporting activities related to procurement operations.
Create and maintain procedures and work instructions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
The preferred candidate has > 3 years of experience as an Operational Procurement Officer, preferably in the financial services industry. Furthermore, you bring:
A bachelor degree in procurement, contract & supplier management or related field.
Proficiency in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
Proven hands-on experience in (P2P) procurement processes and/or Workday as procurement system.
A positive and adaptive mindset and a ‘can do mentality’, you take ownership.
Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
Good communication skills and a collaborative team spirit, combined with the ability to apply professional skepticism when engaging with stakeholders.
Furthermore, you are available for a minimum of 32 hours per week (4 days) and live within reasonable commuting distance from our Rotterdam office.
