We are looking for an experienced Civil Excavator Operator to join our Construction Division based out of Hamilton.

You will be operating 8-25T Excavators and be part of a team performing a wide range of construction activities including:

General earthworks, road widening & detailed excavation

Pavement construction and kerbing preparation

Drainage Excavation, including wate tabling and rural pipe installation

Subdivision excavation work

Shaping and trimming of batters

Ensuring high quality infrastructure projects are delivered to plan using your expert operator skills

To be successful in this role, you will:

NZ resident or NZ citizen

Background in civil construction

Able to work independently & have an eye for detail

Class 2 licence & WTR as a minimum

Previous experience with GPS enabled equipment would be advantageous

Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and achieve strict deadlines

Leadership and crew management would be beneficial

Commitment to workplace safety, quality, punctuality, reliability, respect for others and to work as part of an efficient team
