Job Title:Clinical Lab Svcs-Lead-Flow Cytometry Laboratory

Scope of Position
The Flow Cytometry Laboratory performs routine and highly complex testing in immunophenotyping for analysis of various disease states including Immunodeficiency and Leukemia/Lymphoma, platelet antibody and other flow cytometric related testing. The department is staffed Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 11:30 pm and Saturday's from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Position Summary
The Lead Technologist in the department will perform highly complex testing of immunophenotyping and platelet antibody testing as well as other miscellaneous testing. Handles phone inquiries regarding patient results and specimen collection general laboratory duties including but not limited to filing, data entry, and inventory control. The Lead Technologist is directly responsible for the quality control, quality assurance, administrative duties including employee evaluations for selected individuals, technical procedure writing/implementation assisting with schedule, training and record keeping. Works under the direction of the division director and the laboratory manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in medical technology, Associates Degree or biological science degree with MT or MLT certification. Prefer an MT with 3 years of clinical laboratory experience or MLT with 5 years clinical laboratory experience. Must have knowledge of Flow Cytometry. Proficient in Microsoft programs and supervisory experience preferred.
