Job Overview
As a Remote Video Editor at The Alias Group, you'll have the exciting opportunity to work on a variety of video projects for our clients, ranging from brand videos and social media content to product explainers and corporate communication pieces. Your editing skills will be essential in creating content that engages, informs, and inspires. This is a fully remote position, so you can work from anywhere as long as you have the tools and passion to create outstanding videos.
Key Responsibilities
Edit and Produce High-Quality Video Content: Work on a range of video types including promotional videos, tutorials, case studies, social media clips, and client-specific video content.
Collaborate with Creative Teams: Partner with copywriters, designers, and marketing strategists to ensure video content aligns with brand messaging and marketing objectives.
Work with Raw Footage: Review and edit raw video footage to create polished, professional content, ensuring the best visual and audio quality.
Add Motion Graphics and Visual Effects: Enhance videos with graphics, animations, sound effects, and music that align with the brand's voice and message.
Optimize for Different Platforms: Edit videos for specific social media platforms, websites, or client campaigns, ensuring proper formatting and aspect ratios.
Manage Multiple Projects: Balance multiple editing tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering top-quality results under tight schedules.
Stay Current on Industry Trends: Keep up with the latest video editing techniques, software updates, and trends to ensure our content is fresh and innovative.
Requirements
Proven Experience: 2+ years of professional video editing experience, with a strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing your work.
Proficiency in Editing Software: Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
Motion Graphics Skills: Experience in adding basic motion graphics and animations to videos (Adobe After Effects or similar tools).
Attention to Detail: Excellent eye for detail and the ability to edit content to match specific style guidelines.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal, in a fully remote team environment.
Self-Motivated & Organized: Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Remote Work Experience: Comfortable working remotely, with a reliable internet connection and a home office setup.
Nice to Have
Experience with 3D animation or advanced visual effects
Familiarity with social media trends and video formats (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok)
Experience working with B2B brands or in a marketing agency environment
Knowledge of color grading or audio mixing is a plus
