Job Vacancy: Site Cleaning Manager Full Time
Location: HU9 9PX East Riding, Hull
Salary: £15.21 per hour 40 hours per week
Hours: 6am to 2pm Full-time with flexible hours required including occasional late shifts and weekend checks
Reports to: Operations Manager / External Site Management
Start date : 1st November 2025
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Cleaning Manager to lead and manage all cleaning operations at our busy site in Hull. This is a hands-on, leadership role that requires excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
General Cleaning Manager Duties
Oversee and manage all cleaning operations across the site
Lead, motivate, and support the cleaning team to maintain high standards
Ensure compliance with health & safety and site-specific requirements
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure cleanliness and compliance
Liaise closely with the clients to ensure full compliance with their requirements
Manage stock levels of cleaning materials and liaise with suppliers
Handle staffing issues including training, performance management, and development
Daily Duties
Lead and chair daily team meetings
Create and manage staff rotas
Manage daily emails and phone calls, particularly with representatives
Log and monitor jobs using Shire, Green & Purple cards
Liaise with the stores manager and on-site contractors
Plan and track staff holidays effectively
Conduct daily site walkabouts with client
Give clear instructions to all staff about their daily duties
Use and update Ezitracker system for staff tracking and reporting
Weekly Duties
Attend Weekly meetings with site management
Prepare and deliver weekly toolbox talks to the team
Process and verify weekly wages
Monthly Duties
Conduct and document a full site audit across all areas; ensure sign-off from site client
Visit site on selected weekends to check in with the weekend team
Occasionally stay later on site to oversee the 10am6pm team
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in cleaning/site facilities management (supervisory level or above)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience working on large or industrial sites, ideally with experience of working with external stakeholders
Excellent organisation and time-management skills
IT proficiency (e.g. using Ezitracker, Shire, email systems)
Flexibility with working hours, including occasional weekend or late visits
