Location: Pomona Innovation Village, CA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

Duration: 18 months

Job Summary

We’re seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership across planning, design, and construction phases for Transmission, Substation, and Distribution projects. This role combines office-based engineering with field engagement and requires coordination across multiple stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all phases of civil engineering — scoping, design, cost estimation, scheduling, and construction support.

Collaborate with Project Management, Construction, Environmental, Real Estate, and external agencies.

Conduct field visits (1–2 days per week) and provide on-site construction support.

Manage engineering consultants — scope definition, proposal reviews, quality control, and schedule management.

Perform QA reviews, manage purchase orders, and approve invoices.

Oversee permitting and regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal agencies.

Ensure safety integration in designs and promote a safety-first culture.

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience in land development for electrical substations and transmission access in varied terrain.

Knowledge of road and highway design.

Familiarity with storm damage response and mitigation.

Strong contractor management and purchase order oversight.

Understanding of California permitting processes.

Master’s in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred).

Experience with ArcGIS (preferred).
