Overview
Role and Responsibilities
This individual in this position is responsible for receiving/verifying all incoming parts from suppliers/vendors and to insure all appropriate paperwork is completed. Ensures parts are distributed to the appropriate work areas for production needs. Pulls sales orders and the ships using appropriate carriers; may be utilized for delivery and/or pick up of material using a company vehicle. S/he is also responsible for tracking and maintaining control of the warehouse inventory (location and quantity).
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Manage the receipt and verification process for all incoming orders for accuracy and completeness.
Fill sales orders and make shipping arrangements for those orders
Maintain accurate records in Fourth Shift of incoming, outgoing, and inventory moves
Meet established production and quality goals in a timely and efficient manner
Demonstrate good communications skills; relate well to others
Keep the purchasing representatives and Logistics Supervisor informed through timely verbal and/or written reports
Other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as may be assigned. Special Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent experience required
Able to speak, read, and write English
Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office preferred
Experience with an ERP system
Excellent communications and organizational skills
Able to work flexible hours, including hours in excess of 40 hours as needed
Possess a valid Ohio Driver's license acceptable to company insurance carrier
Able to obtain a company forklift license
E2 software experience (optional) Work Environment:
Work is a mix of periods of standing, sitting, walking and driving. Use of a computer terminal is moderate. The temperature of the working area fluctuates with the seasons as the production areas are not air- conditioned. Hours may be irregular.
