We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Associate Account Executive to join our National Accounts team. In this role, you will support national account customers alongside our Account Executives, developing the skills and knowledge needed to manage large customer relationships and uncover new opportunities. This role is structured as a career development position with a clear path toward Account Executive responsibility within approximately 4 years.
The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, hands-on with systems and customers, and committed to building a long-term career with Loeb Electric. As an Associate Account Executive, you will need to be based in Columbus, OH.
What you will be doing as a key player on our dynamic team:
Support assigned Account Executives in managing the full customer lifecycle - including quoting, ordering, project tracking, and post-sale communication.
Build trust with customer contacts by consistently demonstrating responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism.
Learn the structure and key personnel of each customer account; help maintain updated contact info and org charts.
Create, maintain, and track sales worksheets, proposals, and material quotes under AE direction.
Learn Loeb's pricing strategies, quoting process, and margin analysis; provide suggestions for alternate products or value-engineered options.
Assist with cross-sell and upsell efforts based on knowledge of customer purchasing habits and evolving needs.
Contribute to the creation of customer-specific documentation such as playbooks, order guides, and opportunity trackers.
Participate in business reviews, customer planning meetings, and internal account strategy sessions.
Help analyze historical spend, margin, product usage, and upcoming construction/project calendars to support strategic decisions.
Present findings and observations to the AE and sales leadership team during your onboarding rotation.
Assist in coordinating the end-to-end lifecycle of lighting and electrical projects - including sourcing, delivery timelines, customer expectations, and jobsite communication.
Work alongside project managers and account managers to understand scopes, timelines, and internal collaboration. Experience:
4+ years of professional experience (sales support, inside sales, project coordination, and/or customer-facing roles)
Experience in distribution, large retail, or service organization preferred. Core Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
Associate's degree plus 2-3 years relevant industry experience will also be considered
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Data entry and navigation. Essential Job Functions:
Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally required to lift and carry office materials, files, or supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
Sitting/Standing/Walking: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk using a computer; occasional standing, walking, or moving between departments or meeting locations.
Reaching/Handling: Regular reaching, grasping, and handling of office materials; frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding, writing, filing, and operating office equipment.
Vision: Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, necessary for reading documents, using a computer, and reviewing documents.
Hearing/Speaking: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by phone, and in virtual/video meetings; ability to hear instructions and interact with team members and customers.
Environmental Conditions: Work performed primarily in a professional office environment with minimal exposure to adverse conditions. May occasionally involve travel to other company sites, vendor locations, or offsite meetings.
PPE Use: Generally not required; however, may occasionally be necessary depending on location (e.g., close toed shoes, high-visibility vest when visiting the warehouse).
