Job Description

The Yard Logistics Coordinator is pivotal in overseeing and optimizing the movement and storage of goods within the yard. Provides operational, administrative, and customer service support for Receiving, Outbound, and Dock safety. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for dock management to schedule and maintain all deliveries, returns, and special requests, maintaining a safe and secure operation for special and daily deliveries of all goods and services.

Maintains dock schedule for daily deliveries and provides all drivers with yard rules, rescheduling deliveries if outside of the delivery window. Liaison to Delivery Workers; assists in route creation; ensures existing processes are performed as designed and supports continuous improvement; resolves and responds to customer inquiries; alerts high profile and critical situations to the appropriate manager while working with customers to resolve issues; supports the implementation of all processes and maintains applicable SOP’s; works on special projects to increase efficiencies in the department; other duties as assigned.

Manages and maintains all material handling equipment, including Security, parking, and transportation group issues. Maintains a safe and secure yard and interior dock by creating a safe and secure culture and conducting daily safety walks with the team and leaders to ensure prevention and awareness among all teams and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
