About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our team at Luton Sixth Form College. This role involves supporting the daily catering operations and ensuring a high standard of service to students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Serve food and beverages in line with portioning and presentation standards
Prepare food as directed by the Kitchen Manager
Handle payments and operate tills
Restock and display merchandise appropriately
Maintain cleanliness in back-of-house areas and on counters
Clean light equipment
Report feedback, complaints, stock needs, faults, or hazards to the line manager
Complete assigned daily paperwork and maintain accurate records
Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures
Undertake relevant training as required
Skills and Experience Required
Previous experience in a fast-paced catering environment
Ability to work to timelines and manage tasks efficiently
