Position: Global Financial Controller (Manufacturing)
Location: Pathum Thani, Thailand (onsite)
The Global Financial Controller leads financial operations across international business units, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient cash management. Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, the role also contributes to strategic financial direction and planning. To succeed, the individual must demonstrate strong collaboration skills, attention to detail, and leadership in embedding financial practices that support the companys mission and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Monitor performance against KPIs and drive initiatives for cost optimization.
Financial Reporting
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency through ERP system improvements.
Maintain smooth collaboration between Finance & Accounting and other departments.
Strategic Financial Management
Develop and execute financial strategies related to capital structure, funding, and investments.
Support new business setups, expansions, and strategic initiatives.
Align financial goals with overall company objectives in partnership with senior leadership.
Risk Management & Compliance
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
Ensure compliance with international and local accounting, tax, and regulatory standards.
Maintain robust internal controls and audit readiness.
Treasury & Cash Management
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital across global operations.
Oversee treasury operations, including banking relationships and investment of surplus funds.
Lead tax planning, reporting, and compliance.
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor the finance team across different business units.
Foster cross-functional teamwork to ensure integrated and reliable financial data.
Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy: 100% precision in financial reporting.
Timeliness: On-time submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Budget Control: Maintain expenditures within 5% of approved budget.
Cost Savings: Deliver at least 3 efficiency or cost-reduction initiatives per year.
Compliance: Zero major compliance or audit violations.
Cash Flow: Maintain at least 3 months of operational liquidity.
ERP & Processes: Reduced reporting errors and increased automation.
Team Development: Build high-performing teams with clear career growth.
Qualifications & Competencies
Education:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Masters preferred).
Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, CMA, or CIA are a strong advantage.
Experience:
10+ years in financial management with proven experience in global or regional operations.
Background in manufacturing or multinational environments is highly desirable.
Strong track record in financial reporting, planning, and treasury.
Skills & Competencies:
Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and ERP systems.
Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance, and risk management.
Strategic thinker with ability to translate numbers into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with proven ability to manage diverse teams.
