Location: Columbus, OH 43210
Unit: Labor and Delivery, High Risk Obstetrics (6 Doan Hall)
Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2050 - $2100 Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
Active RN license (compact or Ohio state)
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
NCC C-EFM or AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced)
EPIC charting experience required
IV start and Labor & Delivery experience required
Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership)
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Previous travel nursing experience preferred Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
Deliver expert patient care in labor, delivery, and high-risk obstetrics
Administer blood and blood products
Assist with antepartum care, APGAR scoring, and sterile speculum exams
Support breastfeeding and lactation for new mothers
Circulate and recover C-sections; assist with cesarean sections and tubal ligations
Perform IV starts, venous blood draws, and maintain central lines
Conduct pain assessments and manage epidural anesthesia
Monitor fetal heart rates using EFM and IUPC
Care for multiple births, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum hemorrhage cases
Float to antepartum and other hospital units as required
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
