Estimated Weekly Salary: $2140-$2300

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 19, 2025 - December 19, 2025)

Healthcare Setting: Acute care, Operating Room (OR)

Shift Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Call Requirements: 1-2 times per week and at least every 3rd weekend; 30-minute response time required

Unit Details: 2 OR suites and an Endo suite; up to 15-20 surgical cases per day

Charting System: Epic EMR Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state (required)

At least 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience (Ortho and General surgery required; other specialties preferred)

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)

Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes

Flexibility to accommodate traveling surgeons' schedules

Willingness to assist with scrubbing (preferred) and hold camera as needed

Pre-op and PACU experience preferred (not required)

First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply! OR RN Responsibilities

Deliver perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical cases (excluding head, heart, and back)

Assist with orthopedic and general surgery procedures

Support pain management procedures in the Endoscopy suite

Collaborate with OR techs, CRNAs, and traveling surgeons

Float to Pre-op and PACU as needed (tasking duties if no prior experience)

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR

Demonstrate adaptability and teamwork to meet unit needs

Participate in mandatory call/standby as scheduled
