Position Summary:
The Site Supervisor provides on-site leadership, supervision, and support for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other residential staff to ensure high-quality care and services for individuals with developmental disabilities or health-related needs. The Site Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations of assigned residential homes, ensuring compliance with agency policies, state regulations, and individualized service plans (ISPs). This role serves as the primary point of contact for staff within the home and collaborates with the Program Coordinator, Supervisors, families, and other professionals to promote a safe, supportive, and person-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Supervision & Leadership
Provide daily supervision, guidance, and coaching to DSPs and residential staff.
Ensure staff adhere to agency policies, chain of command, HIPAA, and professional conduct standards.
Conduct shift check-ins, review documentation, and verify timesheets for accuracy.
Facilitate staff meetings and trainings to reinforce best practices, agency values, and compliance expectations.
Participate in performance evaluations and corrective actions as needed.
Resident Care & Support
Ensure individuals health, safety, dignity, and rights are protected at all times.
Support residents in achieving their ISP goals, including skill-building, community integration, and behavioral support.
Monitor the delivery of medication administration, health services, and behavioral support strategies.
Assist in crisis management, including implementation of emergency procedures and reporting requirements.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain compliance with state regulations, Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DoDD) rules, and agency policies.
Review and submit daily, weekly, and monthly documentation, including MARs, progress notes, incident reports (UI/MUI), and staff logs.
Ensure staff follow proper reporting procedures for incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
Participate in audits, quality assurance reviews, and site inspections.
Operations & Communication
Oversee scheduling to ensure adequate shift coverage and minimize overtime.
Communicate regularly with the Program Coordinator and Supervisor regarding site updates, staffing needs, and client issues.
Liaise with families, guardians, case managers, and medical professionals as needed.
Monitor facility maintenance, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Enforce agency policies regarding confidentiality, professionalism, and chain of command.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Services, Social Work, Healthcare, or related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in home health care, residential services, or developmental disabilities support.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
Current First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record.
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet all state compliance requirements.
