Expected work schedule for the Volunteer & Church Engagement Leader:
Full- or part-time, flexible schedule
Occasional evenings and/or weekends for specific events/projects
Attendance at several conferences each year, including IFI Staff Retreats
Pay structure for an Volunteer & Church Engagement Leader:
Requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses
Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners
Pay range is typically between $41,000 and $43,000 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors

About the area and Responsibilities of a Volunteer & Church Engagement Leader
The overall role of the Volunteer & Church Engagement Leader is connecting volunteers with international students by recruiting, screening, training, matching, engaging, and retaining them and envisioning churches to partner. This role will assist campus staff in Columbus to expand their ministry reach and help strengthen existing and develop new partnerships with local churches and volunteers so that the mission and vision of IFI Columbus will be accomplished and fulfilled. This position is part of the Central Ohio ministry team and requires the candidate to live in or near Columbus, OH.
Volunteer & Church Engagement Leader will (list not all inclusive):
Managing the lifecycle of a volunteer, including recruitment, matching, training, equipping, resourcing, providing recognition, mentoring, and renewing volunteers
Using the the database for all activities, matching students with volunteers, creating and modifying email templates/forms for activities, sending emails, and running reports, as needed
Representing IFI at church fairs and speaking engagements to share the mission/vision of IFI and find potential volunteers
Working with the Communications Dept to share volunteer opportunities using multiple media, and updating promotional resources such as videos, table banners and flyers
Coordinating office volunteers, church groups, and volunteers assisting with check-in and registration at student, volunteer events, and the annual banquet.
Qualifications needed of a Volunteer & Church Engagement Leader, including Spiritual Characteristics
Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
Is faithful, loyal, and dedicated to IFI's mandate from the Lord to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international students out of reverence for Jesus
Well organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independently
Has a shepherd's heart for Internationals, a teachable and submissive spirit, and spiritual maturity
Ability to work under stress and be flexible
Committed to sharing faith in the context of personal relationships and investing deeply in students' lives
Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications
