You will leverage your expertise in proposal writing, coordination, and management to produce compelling, client-focused materials that reflect our services and value. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working independently and with teams. You are experienced in managing proposal processes from planning through submission, coordinating input from technical staff and leadership, developing marketing collateral, ensuring quality and consistency, and delivering proposals ranging from on-call consultant lists to complex, multi-volume federal packages.
You will impact the team by:
Leading the proposal process (for prime proposals and subconsultant qualifications) from start to finish;
Working with the Marketing Manager, Principals, and Project Managers to constructively incorporate proposal strategy, messaging, and review comments;
Preparing detailed proposal checklists, facilitating team kickoff meetings with internal and external team members, and overseeing staff deadlines and assignments.
Writing and producing fully compliant and engaging proposals that are tailored to represent project understanding and relevant experience;
Organizing and drafting proposal content, both qualifications-based and technical in nature, reflects a deep understanding of the client, their project(s), and a high level of expertise.
Maintaining and updating our company's opportunities and content management databases;
Preparing complex marketing documents using company styles and templates in Adobe InDesign and MS Word, as well as standard forms (e.g., SF330); We are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. Performing final technical edit, formatting, and transmittal of our company letter proposals and construction estimates in MS Word;
Developing graphic content, including organizational charts, tables, and informational graphics in accordance with our brand standards;
Performing daily RFP lead searches and summarizing RFPs to facilitate the Go/No Go process;
Providing meaningful feedback to improve internal processes;
Supporting a variety of marketing needs, including preparation of brochures, qualifications packages, announcements, social media, and other special projects.
Requirements:
5+ years of relevant and successful experience in proposal preparation in an environmental or AEC firm;
Experience preparing complex and fully compliant proposals for a variety of clients, including Federal and State government, is required.
Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word, including mastery of styles, formatting, and templates in both programs, are required.
Strong commitment to teamwork, while maintaining the ability to work independently and take responsibility for the process from start to finish;
In-depth understanding of proposal writing and management;

Keen eye for aesthetics and layout, and sufficient InDesign and Word skills to facilitate professional, clean proposal design;
Technical knowledge of environmental consulting or biological/natural sciences is preferred but not required.
