The role

As a Finance Manager, you’ll be embedded within a high-profile programme - the submarine disposal project -providing dedicated financial support that’s critical to its success. You’ll ensure financial integrity and control across all aspects of the programme, working within Naval Nuclear and Group policies. This is a unique opportunity to influence strategic decisions, drive cost efficiencies and grow your career in a dynamic and meaningful sector.

Day-to-day, you’ll lead financial operations for a major project, delivering accurate reporting and insights, managing budgets and cash flow, guiding team performance and ensuring system integrity through SAP.

Delivering financial control, reporting and management information for a major project

Analysing performance and presenting financial insights to senior stakeholders

Preparing budgets, forecasts, and supporting cash flow planning

Leading and developing team members while managing stakeholder relationships

Maintaining SAP integrity and publishing performance reports

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office/onsite and 2-3 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Finance Manager:

Experience in project accounting environments

Strong business and process analysis skills

Excellent communication and influencing abilities

Proven experience working with senior management and customers

High computer literacy, including spreadsheets and MIS systems

Qualifications for the Finance Manager:

Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
