The Position
Full-time Consultant Psychiatrist for a key leadership role within a regional mental health service in Queensland. This position involves providing specialist psychiatric expertise to adult and community mental health services, including alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATODS) programs, and outreach teams supporting vulnerable populations.
The Location
A regional hub in tropical North Queensland, this area serves a population of over 180,000. It boasts a vibrant economy, driven by a diverse mix of tourism, agriculture, industry, mining, education, and healthcare sectors. The Hospital
A 236 bed regional hospital that services 10 rural hospitals and multi-purpose health facilities across the region. The health network is embarking on an exciting period of growth with a $250m redevelopment of the base hospital to provide an additional 112 inpatient beds and an expansion of outpatient and support services. Significant upgrades are also underway.
The Requirements
To apply you must
Hold Fellowship with RANZCP or relevant experience in Psychiatry and received your degree in a Competent Authority Pathway country.
Consideration will be given to applicants nearing completion of RANZCP training requirements for initial appointment at non-specialist Senior Medical Officer until specialist registration is obtained.How To Apply
