Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide advanced clinical care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. The NP will ensure high-quality, patient-centered care, focusing on preventive, promotive, and rehabilitative health services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Care & Clinical Management
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including history taking, physical examination, and diagnosis.
Develop and implement patient management plans in consultation with the attending physician.
Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions as per institutional and regulatory guidelines.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
Manage emergency and critical situations effectively.
2. Coordination & Collaboration
Work collaboratively with consultants, residents, nursing, and allied health teams to deliver integrated care.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical rounds.
Provide handover reports and ensure continuity of care.
3. Procedures & Clinical Skills
Perform and assist in minor procedures (as per competency and departmental protocol).
Supervise and mentor staff nurses and trainees in clinical procedures and patient management.
Ensure infection control and safety practices are strictly followed.
4. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and nursing regulations.
Participate in audits, research, and data collection for quality improvement.
5. Patient Education & Counseling
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, medications, and preventive care.
Promote awareness regarding lifestyle modification, nutrition, and follow-up care.
6. Training & Leadership
Conduct in-service training programs and continuing nursing education (CNE).
Participate in protocol development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Act as a mentor and role model for junior nursing staff.
Skills & Competencies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of hospital information systems (HIS) and documentation standards.
Proficiency in patient counseling and education.
Work Schedule
Full-time, rotational shifts (including weekends and holidays)
