HSQTE Divisional Manager (Health Safety Quality Training and Environment)
We have a vacancy in our Regional Leadership team in the Waikato for the role of Divisional Manager – Health, Safety, Quality, Training and Environment (HSQTE).
This role covers everything from compliance to care of our people and business. Ensuring a healthy and safe workplace, that delivers quality work, trains our people well, and cares for the environment that we work and live in, are the key drivers of this role.

Operational skills we are looking for:
Promote, lead and support the safety culture of the company
Take responsibility for Health Safety Quality Training and Environment within the region
Assist with the development, updating, maintenance and implementation of the living safely manual to ensure compliance with H&S legislation, regulations and standards, and codes of practice
Provide advice, guidance, support and training to staff at all levels in relation to HSQTE
Assist with the systems and management to deliver quality works on all our sites
Have a passion for the environment and supporting the management of this across all the work we undertake
To be successful in this role, you will:
A minimum of 5 years' current experience in a Health & Safety role within the civil construction industry
Ideally you will have 2 years' experience in a Health & Safety Manager's position with proven leadership skills and experience managing and developing teams onsite and remotely
Ideally you will have at least 2 years experience leading Quality, Training and the Environment
Hold a formal health and safety qualification, or be working towards one
Have experience in, and a good understanding of, civil contracting businesses
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels
Have a solution-oriented and hands-on practical approach
Management experience and proven experience in leading a successful team
