Purpose
This newly created position will be responsible for supporting existing crushing customers and applications, and enhancing business development activities with strong applications, design and optimization knowledge. Target applications focus mainly on hard rock mining.
Nature and Scope
This position will report to the Global Sales Director. The company operates under a total marketing concept, which requires this position to have sufficient knowledge in both design and application to act as a "consultant" to the customers questions and concerns. Our client is a customer and market driven company that determines customer needs, identifies customer problems, and translates these into solutions and products.
This position requires a thorough understanding of the marketplace, all major types of crushing equipment used in the target industries, and at the same time an appreciation of the capabilities and capacity of the companys production facilities. The ability to optimize the performance of a crusher based on customer needs is critical. The ability to work with others at all levels within the organization through well-developed interpersonal communication skills is a must.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Work within the regions account management team to develop strategies to expand business with existing customers as well as with new customers.
2. Provide technical support to the account management team that may include optimization (reduced downtime, reduced energy usage, optimized product size distribution, increased throughput, etc), crusher chamber design, enhanced safety, etc.
3. Act as a liaison between the technical department and other regional crusher application experts, and the account management team with respect to optimization, product specifications, chemistry, design, and field application.
4. Explore and introduce new designs, innovations, alloy improvements or other concepts that offer potential for improvement in the way our products are designed, manufactured, inventoried and sold.
5. Provide direction for reverse engineering, including design requirements, customer project priorities, drawing approval, and assistance in the field.
6. Keep Management informed of activities, both in written and verbal forms.
7. Represent the company at various industry meetings, trade shows, and seminars. This may include making formal presentations to support crusher part sales and growth.
8. Assist the companys International Region team members, and the technical department as needed or requested.
9. Maintain technical and professional skills through formal training, involvement with industry groups, and on the job experience.
10. Be willing to travel between 30% and 40% of the time.
Desired Position Qualifications
An engineering degree or the equivalent in training and experience.
Ability to do on site reverse engineering and create basic part drawings/designs.
10 years mineral processing experience with knowledge of crushing, milling, mineral processing, etc and related technical product application. Preferably hard rock mining.
Proven skills and a well-developed track record in crusher part optimization and sales support.
Strong working knowledge of the various types of crushers including gyratory, jaw, and cone crushers.
Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
A working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Salesforce.
Ability to work with a wide range of individuals and cultures.

Although this is a full time role, and 100% remote, the role reports into a global office and so the candidate must have the ability to invoice the client and take care of their own benefits and tax.
