DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All NorthWestern Energy employees are required to adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct Ethics Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives Build, maintain, test, inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and ensure the safe and reliable operation of gas production MR equipment, farm tap and well tap meter settings, electronic flow computer radio communications, polling software for gas production, production volume editing, and related mechanical, pneumatic and electrical control systems Perform all actions to maintain compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and NorthWestern Energy safety standards Installation and maintenance of odorant systems Work overtime including evenings and weekends in response to acute service needs Respond to call outs within 30 minutes Travel up to 10% of the time away from home area and stay overnight as needed Lift up to 75 pounds on occasional basis from ground to chest level Marginal Work Functions *These functions may be considered essential based on location and other factors.
Build, maintain, test, inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and ensure the safe and reliable operation of gas transmission MR equipment and facilities, city gate stations, and related mechanical, pneumatic and electrical control systems* Locate lines and perform standby inspection for line crossings* GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in gas measurement and control preferred Working knowledge of gas meters, pressure regulators, relief valves, RTUs, and pressure and temperature transmitters preferred Must be able to meet and maintain "occupational qualification" standards to ensure qualification to perform assigned tasks as specified in Title 49 CFR, Part 192 Must complete New Gas Operator Qualification and HAZMAT programs within 6 months of hire Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record SELECTION PROCESS When considering applicants for this position, the selection process will take into consideration the needs of NorthWestern, including such factors as reorganization requirements, diversity opportunities, relocation requirements, employee development and job succession.
