Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced MRI Technologist for weekend night shifts, with strong neuro, abdominal, and musculoskeletal MRI experience required. Responsibilities
Work in a hospital MRI department supporting both inpatient and outpatient imaging
Census averages 35-40 cases daily across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
Performs advanced imaging, including neuro, abdominal, musculoskeletal, and oncology cases
Shift is Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, on a block schedule
Special procedures include fusion (non-brain), gradient echo, MIP, MRP, perfusion, spectroscopy, ADC mapping, spin echo, and surface coils
Uses Siemens MRI systems, PACS, and EPIC for electronic documentation
Responsibilities include performing advanced MRI studies and image post-processing (e.g., ADC mapping, subtraction, MRP, and spectroscopy)
Must comply with fingerprinting and credentialing processes as soon as the contract is signed
References must be from supervisory personnel; coworker references are not accepted
Locals are accepted at the same rate
Former employees are eligible for travel assignments if separated for at least 6 months
Current employees at the facility are not eligible for traveler roles
All requests for time off must be submitted with initial application
Education must be from an accredited (ACEN or CCNE) program Requirements
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
Current ARRT and BLS certifications are required
Valid Ohio State MRI license required if applicable
Proficiency in imaging for abdomen, pelvis, chest, brain, face/neck, hip, knee, shoulder, and full spine
Experience with both ICU, outpatient, and pediatric acute care patient populations
Familiarity with Siemens equipment and PACS system
Two professional references are required, including at least one from a supervisor or manager Benefits
