Job Description
Responsible for laying out and welding structural steel to build metal structures.
Responsibilities
Weld and cut black carbon and galvanized steel, and interpret blueprints.
Operate hand tools, grinders, and other shop machinery, or be willing to learn.
Ensure products are manufactured according to prints.
Maintain a neat and clean work area in accordance with 6S leadership and standards.
Adhere to and comply with all company safety requirements.
Read and understand schematics and blueprints, including weld symbols.
Read a tape measure accurately and perform basic arithmetic operations.
Operate vehicles, mechanical devices, or equipment as needed.
Pass 3G/4G tests in MIG welding with a focus on vertical/uphill and column welds.
Train new welders as part of job duties.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in MIG and Flux-core welding.
Ability to read blueprints and tape measures.
Experience in TIG welding is a plus.
Strong experience in welding techniques.
Minimum of 4 years of recent welding experience.
Ability to lift 50 lbs without restrictions.
Proficiency in computer use within a Windows environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
A two-year welding certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Work Environment
Work in a non-climate controlled atmosphere with approximately 80 other employees. The position is a first shift role from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
