This beautifully restored country inn combines relaxed comfort with high-quality food, served in an inviting setting complete with roaring fires, rustic charm, and friendly service. The kitchen is led by a talented and supportive Head Chef, who believes in nurturing talent, maintaining calm professionalism, and producing outstanding food from the best seasonal ingredients.

About the Role
As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. You’ll have a key voice in menu development, training, and maintaining a smooth daily operation.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen
Delivering consistent, high-quality dishes with precision and flair
Supervising and developing junior team members
Upholding food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Contributing ideas for menu innovation and seasonal specials
Ensuring effective stock management and smooth kitchen organisation
About You
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a 1AA Rosette or similar quality kitchen
Passionate about fresh, seasonal ingredients and modern British cooking
Professional, reliable, and calm under pressure
Creative and driven, with a positive “can-do” attitude
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Must have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available for this role)
