Position begins August Mid-August Nashoba Valley Technical High School is seeking a part time receptionist/clerk to work afternoon hours.
Hours are outlined below.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 11:30 am - 3:30 pm Tuesday, Thursday 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm The position provides general receptionist and telephone answering services for the School, and general clerical assistance.
Essential Job Functions Include: Greeting and directing all visitors in the Central Administrative Office Answering the School telephone and directing calls and inquiries to appropriate offices and staff members Monitoring Lobby-guard use to insure all visitors enter building securely Recording and transmitting messages Accepting and processing all mail and receivables Using a computer Using a postage meter Typing documents as assigned Proofreading reports, forms, requisitions and other documents for accuracy Maintaining regular and punctual attendance Performing other work (clerical, filing, data entry, typing etc.) as assigned by the Superintendent or designee Assisting with inventory and maintaining and ordering supplies Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to include: Computer skills, including knowledge or, or ability to learn, computer programs applicable to the position.
Ability to greet and direct visitors in a pleasant and professional manner Ability to take, and accurately record, messages on the telephone and in person Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to interact courteously and appropriately with School Administration, staff, parents or guardians, students, and the public Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions Ability to maintain confidential information Ability to function in an appropriate professional manner in a hectic work environment Knowledge of, and ability to apply, business English Knowledge of current office practices and technology For more information, please request the complete job description.
