Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Must-Have:

- Ability to take own patient assignment with the support of an RN

- Hospital experience within the last 2 years

- Every other weekend requirement

- Experience with EPIC charting system

Description:

We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team on the Medical Surgical unit.

The ideal candidate holds an active NY license.

This role requires the ability to manage a patient assignment independently while receiving support from a registered nurse.

Candidates must have hospital experience within the last two years.

Weekends are required, with every other weekend scheduled.

Experience with the EPIC charting system is a must.

Patient ratios are 6:1 on nights.

The patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics.

Some patient diagnoses may include COPD exacerbations, infections, and failure to thrive.

Successful candidates will possess a variety of nursing skills including but not limited to wound care, telemetry monitoring, and medication management.

Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
