Master's degree with a major in educational leadership and/ or school administration (required)
North Carolina Principal's License (required)
Start Date: January 1, 2026
Duties:
Assist in the management of the curriculum at N-CHS, ensuring the use of sound instructional practices, continuous growth of teachers, and increase in student achievement.
Make appropriate periodic reports to the Superintendent or designee on instructional progress in the schools. All school report card data indicators.
Attend regional meetings regarding high school curriculum needs.
Assist with on-going training for all N-CHS teachers and teacher assistants as needed.
Collaborate with appropriate parties to determine instructional needs of all N-CHS staff.
Attend appropriate/required conferences and workshops, read sufficient research, and collaborate with other curriculum-focused assistant principals in the region to ensure that best practices are in place.
Regularly visit classrooms to ensure compliance and use of best practices.
Provide (twice a month) leadership PLC with teachers throughout the year.
Continuously review all available data and assist teachers in formulating strategies that will lead to student achievement.
Observe, coach, and evaluate teachers, focusing on those who need more assistance.
Creating and implementing a plan for MTSS.
Liaison for Advanced Core Program
After hours supervision of extracurricular activities
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Principal

Understanding of HS curriculum
Ability to analyze and synthesize data
Knowledge of curriculum areas tested
Ability to present various reports to appropriate groups
Provide professional development in the areas of PLC and MTSS Academic Core
Strong technology skills and experience in using 21st Century skills in instruction
