The Pharmacist performs clinical and professional pharmaceutical work in the compounding and dispensing of drugs and IV supplies. The Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing prescriptions to ensure accuracy. The Pharmacist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review and evaluate patient effectiveness and adverse effects. The pharmacist provides information and advice regarding drug interactions and potential side effects as well as analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.

Manages pharmacy-related technologies, including EPIC, Pyxis, IV pumps, and software systems; ensures regular updates and maintenance.

Supports medication safety initiatives, compliance with USP 797/800, controlled substance monitoring, and MERP requirements per CDPH.

Prepares for and contributes to Medication Safety, Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T), and Antibiotic Stewardship committees in coordination with the Pharmacy Director.

Leads training and competency validation for pharmacy staff on informatics, systems updates, and operational protocols.

Assists in scheduling, supervises key pharmacy operations, and serves as the designated person for USP 797 and 800 compliance.

Performs regular pharmacist duties and provides clinical patient care as needed.

Acts as Pharmacist in Charge for Incline Village Community Hospital.
