**Job Title: Powder Coat Lead**

**Job Description**

The 2nd Shift Powder Coat Lead is responsible for overseeing the powder coating operations during the second shift, ensuring that quality, efficiency, and safety standards are consistently met. This position involves supervising a team of powder coat technicians, coordinating workflow, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining production schedules.

**Responsibilities**

+ Supervise and lead the powder coating team during 2nd shift operations.

+ Ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance of powder coating equipment.

+ Monitor the quality of finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.

+ Train and mentor team members on powder coating techniques and safety procedures.

+ Coordinate with other departments to meet production goals and deadlines.

+ Maintain inventory of coating materials and supplies.

+ Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.

+ Document production data, quality checks, and shift reports.

+ Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

**Essential Skills**

+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

+ 3+ years of experience in powder coating, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.

+ Strong knowledge of powder coating processes, materials, and equipment.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

+ Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

+ Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Any sort of powder coating/painting experience is a plus.

+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

+ Experience with painting, spray guns, and paint booths.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and endure standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.

**Work Environment**

The work environment is non-climate controlled with exposure to heat, noise, and powder coating chemicals. The role requires physical endurance and involves hands-on work without automated processes.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hilliard, Ohio.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
