Job Summary – PACU Registered Nurse

Shift Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM OR

Option for 4x10s: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM with rotating day off

On-Call Requirement: 1 day per week + 1 weekend every 5th weekend

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of recent Phase I PACU experience in an acute care/Level I trauma center (surgicenter experience not sufficient)

Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently

Current state RN license – Required

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required

BSN – Highly Desired

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS – Required CPAN, TNCC, CCRN – Preferred

Responsibilities:

Monitor patients’ recovery and level of consciousness following anesthesia

Obtain and record vital signs, ensuring accurate EMR documentation
