Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring that high-quality specifications and expectations, both internal and external, are met through inspection and testing of raw materials and finished goods.
The quality process engineer position focus areas include:
Overall Plant process quality and projects related to maintaining or improving quality results.
Projects focused on elimination of waste-events and customer returns.
Daily monitoring of Plant quality activities.
RCCA of customer complaints.
This position will work closely with the plant Quality Manager and Plant Operations to implement new procedures or processes to improve product quality and eliminate waste.
What you'll be doing:
Provide daily review and feedback of in-process quality results.
Provide leadership and direction on quality testing and issues in customer operations.
Work closely with plant and division management on any quality issues.
Maintain routine record-keeping of findings and dispositions of quality events.
Provide the Quality Control lab with limits and test methods for new products and any changes to processes.
Knowledge of all testing equipment and uses for the equipment.
Record keeping and computing statistics to evaluate all the testing and procedures.
Work closely with the production team and lab techs when products do not meet specifications.
Work in teams to improve product quality, or to reduce costs or related projects.
Make Recommendations to improve testing.
Work with outside vendors as needed.
Responsible for Safety awareness, training, and ergonomic practices in the Office area.

This position is in Franklin, Ohio.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, other science fields.
Excellent organization, project management, and communication skills
Proficient in Root Cause Analysis techniques (FMEA's, 5Why's, ATS, etc.) and developing/implementing Countermeasures.
Process-oriented. Can identify gaps in any process and implement solutions.
Provide problem solving to plant related production issues.
Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this role is from $60,675 to $72,810.
