The Nursing Department at Jefferson Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty for Medication Pass Assistant to grow our adjunct pool.
Requirements: Required: New York State RN license; Associate's degree in nursing or Bachelor's degree in nursing and significant experience in the medical-surgical setting.
Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.
Preferred: A Master's degree in Nursing, or BSN and enrolled in a Master's degree program; strong communication skills; computer literacy; experience in team teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development; ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds; ability to integrate critical thinking strategies into the teaching/learning process; and the ability to interact with external entities such as clinical sites.

Jefferson Community College is seeking to develop a pool of qualified applicants to teach clinical in an acute care setting.
Adjunct applications will be kept on file for three years to fill part-time teaching vacancies as they occur.
The College determines the need for adjunct instructors based on planned courses each term; it is not possible to predict the need for future semesters.
When an opening does occur, finalists for adjunct positions are contacted for interviews.
