Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel is looking for a Prep Cook/Kitchen Attendant to join the team!

The Prep Cook/Kitchen Attendant assists the cooks in the preparation and service of menu items and performs a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties, and storing food and non-food supplies.

Responsible for preparing/setting up/servicing Cafe and assisting guests efficiently and courteously.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: * Prepare assigned items according to the Prep Lists and par levels set by management.

* Properly measure and assemble ingredients required for preparing the standard recipes, including cutting and/or portioning meat, fish, and poultry.

* Use scale to ensure proper portioning of food items.

* Control inventory for loss, waste, and spoilage.

* Clean, organize, and maintain walk-in refrigerator, reach-in refrigerator, cooler drawers, prep, and dry storage area.

* Maintain prep area in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner.

* Rotate product according to "First In, First Out" to maintain shelf-life standards.

* Date and label all food prepped and placed into walk-in cooler.

* Understand and comply with food safety and temperature standards.

* Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to restaurant and hotel guests.

* Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.

* Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant, and hotel.

* Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

* Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.

Pay Range: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
