The Humanities Department at Jefferson Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty in Foreign Languages to grow our adjunct pool.

Candidates may be needed to teach in one or more of the following courses: American Sign Language 1, 2, and 3; Elementary French 1 and 2; Elementary German, Elementary Conversational Italian, Elementary Conversational Spanish, Elementary Spanish 1 and 2; and Intermediate Spanish 1.

Requirements: Master's Degree in the Foreign Language and/or native speaker.

Prior teaching experience at the college level is required.

Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.

Additional Information: This is a pooled search.

Jefferson Community College is seeking to develop a pool of qualified applicants to teach courses in Foreign Languages.

Adjunct applications will be kept on file for three years to fill part-time teaching vacancies as they occur.

The College determines the need for adjunct instructors based on planned courses each term; it is not possible to predict the need for future semesters.

When an opening does occur, finalists for adjunct positions are contacted for interviews.

A letter of application, résumé, unofficial transcripts, and contact information for three professional references are required to apply.

Review of completed applications will begin immediately.

Finalists will be responsible for interview-related expenses.
